Feed me, friend me:

Including this one, I currently have four websites up and running (sort of), and one in development. Here’s a quick rundown with the links. I’m never quite caught up, and when I am, a new browser comes out. Actually, I’m getting much faster. I still work mostly in code, but I am scripting to build blocks of code for repetitive tasks. My sites are more back end than front at this time. You’ll probably see more interactivity after I update these sites and have time to play with web apps. A future tutorial on my blog will cover building and hosting widgets, which have become a hobby of mine.

Munjeli Fotobox I built this site to demo iWeb. There’s a series of tutorials on graphics and hacks for the application on my blog. Soon, I’m planning to move it, and change over to wordpress, but I’ll leave this version up since it’s such a hoot. Most of the photos are of downtown Los Angeles, and a maps feature would be nice to locate all the public sculpture and architecture.

Munjeli Cookbook is my main blog; recently, I started expanding my subject matter from cycling events, and now I write about anything. Several series of tutorials are in the works on subjects I have been answering questions about from friends. There’s wine and book reviews as well.

The Bikex Database is a bicycle advocacy project I started in January. I was building an application with Python and the Google Apps Engine, with the intent to take the site national, when another website went up to fulfill the same need. I have stopped working on Bikex, and am bouncing any submissions to bikewise.org I am in contact with the developer of the site regarding some features I would like to see implemented, including license plate tracking, and a mail link to appropriate agencies responsible for street repairs. My intial site will remain up for the rest of the year, but I’ve moved on to audio programming, and other projects.

As part of the iWeb tutorials, there will be a new site up; an iWeb-Wordpress hybrid. The next site I’ll put up for myself will be a blog for my creative writing. Not that I have time to do much of it, but I find writing is getting easier with all of the content I produce, and I would like to stretch out and once in a while publish something less utilitarian. I have some short stories and flash fiction in the works.
